Happy Birthday Thomas !!!

On Friday, September 25th, we celebrated Thomas' 1st Birthday. Where did the time go???!!! Now we have a toddler in our hands... not a baby anymore... still getting use to it.
If you were not invited don't get mad at us...lol... we actually didn't throw a party. Joel and I decided to have our little family time instead. When he is old enough to understand what a B-day party means we will have one, and we will invite all of our friends. Here are some pics of our little celebration.

First thing he did was take the candle out of the cake, then play with the letters.

Since there were no guests, the boys didn't need a knife, plates or anything... just fingers.

Presents... at first he was more impressed with the papers in the bag than with the real presents.

He was asking Joel to make the puppy to talk again...

Helping Daddy to figure the toy out...lol

Finally, play time...

It was really fun.  Our boy is growing up.

Balloon Race

This year we wanted to take Thomas to the Ranch to watch the balloons. We woke up late. And we left the house around 7:00. But we didn't miss the fun. The balloons were just starting to go up when we arrived there. It was very quick this time though. The new rules were that they should come back to the Ranch. So around 10:30am, the sky was already clear, no balloons whatsoever. It was different than the previous years. But still fun to watch. Thomas had lots of fun running around...untill he got tired, and wanted to go home.

Outdated blog

This is exactly what a bad blogger does... Post news from August when everyone else is getting ready for October...lol...We had good times, so gotta post them.
Thomas is still having his "pan parties" every single day... I no longer count how many times I have to fix the mess he leaves behind... he has to have fun, and explore new things... so, let the boy play.
He finally got use to the gate blocking the stairs. He hated it when put up. We still let him climb it supervised, of course. He loves it, and he gets very excited when he gets to the top... It's like a mission accomplished for him.

The Hot August Nights event was fun. We saw nice and "old new" cars...lol...

Thomas started brushing his 6 little teeth... He thinks it's funny when we put the toothbrush in his mouth... after we brush his teeth we give it to him and he chews it.

Well, Joel became an old man...I meant older...lol... Thomas and I made a little surprise for him on his B-day, the 19th. Thomas was in charge of the balloons. And he handled it pretty good.

As you can see we were short on candles...lol...

We continued Joel's birthday celebration at the Aces. Thomas' first time in a stadium.

We had lots of fun. We didn't get to see the game though...lol... we were so involved in Thomas' action that we forgot all about the game.

We finally got a new lawn. Joel worked really hard on that front yard. He had to put out the dead grass, soften the soil (... what a hard work!), prepare for the sod... and "voila!" we have a brand new green lawn.

The latest news and a very exciting one: Thomas walks!!! He took his first steps on August 3rd. And now he can even pull himself up without any support. He just gets up and go..go...go... We love him so much. We cannot believe he will be 1 year old soon.
